BUXTON
Platinotype printing paper
Originally developed
to provide an inert paper medium to take photographic emulsions
for the Platinotype process, at the instigation of Dr Mike Ware,
the paper has recently been technically improved to provide a denser
sheet and smoother surface for easier coating with the various emulsions.
A heavier weight sheet is also available to facilitate the production
of larger images.
This white
paper is produced from 100% security grade cotton fibre, with only
a reactive internal sizing agent to ensure a good degree of impermeability.
The handmade sheets are heavily pressed several times in both wet
and dry states to reduce porosity and to create the desired surface.
TALBOT
Gelatine sized printing paper.
This paper has been
developed for use with other processes such as the gold based chrysotype
and gum bichromate. The paper is tub sized with a high purity
grade of hide gelatine.
The papers are available
